*Back on SereniTREE, things seem to have gone into suspended animation. TRM and the rest of the crew seem to have suddenly disappeared.
Jake7 wishes she hadn't let Mai go off on her own.**

"Well Erv, we've been hunkered down here for quite awhile. I think we may have lost them. Not to mention lost ourselves. I'm not keen to get back out in the that crazy mess of jungle. What are we going to do now?"
"Erv talk to people of tree. They will rescue."

"Yeah lovely plan except how on earth are they suppose to know where we are when we don't even know where we are?"
*Erv leans over and grabs Mai's wrist. Pushing the small comm button on the strap. The comm crackles and pops with static.
"Help! Can anyone hear us?"

**Back at the SereniTREE, Jake7 wanders forlornly around the ship. At each room, she stops to check to see if anyone is there. She's been through 98% of the ship and there are no signs of life.
She is at a loss to explain the disappearance of her shipmates.
She has made her way to the cockpit and sits in the captain's chair. She stares unseeing at the blinking lights of the console.
A crackle of static comes over the comm and it startles her. She waits hopefully for more noise, a voice, but nothing else follows.
She slumps back against the back of the chair and stares out the window at the endless black of space...**

As the communicator crackles with static the low power light comes on along with a mechanical voice "warning this communication device has low batter power. approximately 25 minutes of power left...
After yet another panicked moment Mai pushes the button again desperately hoping someone on the other end can hear her transmission.
"SERENITREE HELP! I'm stranded Godess knows where with a yeti. No offense Erv. HELP PLEASE! IF you can hear me at all please try and get a lock on our location. We just wanna go home! Oh and by the way the ET's are back and I don't mean the cutesy movie ones..."

**The Comm crackles with static again. Little bits of a message filter through**
"...TREE ...HELP! ...stranded ...yeti ...lock ...home ...cutesy"
**jake7 is confused by the message, but she recognizes the voice as belonging to Mai. She springs forward and presses the COMM button on the SereniTREE's console**
Mai? Mai! Your message did not fully come through. Resend! Where ARE you?? The 'TREE appears to have been abandoned. Even the Yeti don't seem to be here!
**She releases the comm button and waits anxiously for a response**

Jake is that you? I can't... wait a sec.
*Mai moves out of the cave hoping comm reception improves.
Jake? Can you hear me? It's Mai and Erv! We got lost and are now stuck hiding out in a cave.
I can't speak too loudly in case the evil twins are still lurking. I have a feeling they may be behind the disappearance of the rest of the crew! HELP!!!!!!

**After what seems like eons, the comm crackles again and Mai's voice comes through -- quiet, but not as garbled as before.**
It's me, Mai. Your signal is very weak and I can't get a lock on it, so I have no way to track you down...
Not only that, I have no idea how to fly this thing and I can't even find Sparky to see if he could figure it out!
Something really weird is going on here. If you've found the evil twins, maybe they have the crew there?

*Just as Jake's comm transmission ends sounds of footsteps echo outside of the cave.
"Erv go check out noises. Tired of hiding."
*moving quickly and gracefully as a ballerina Erv makes his way to the edge of the woods.
"TRM!!!!!! You found us!!!!! Knew you would miss Erv soon." *Erv begins to run toward the man in the woods.
"No wait, Erv it's a trap!!!!" Mai yells just a a few seconds too late.

**It's been months since jake7 last heard any communications from any of her fellow crew.
She gets up and slowly and sadly wanders the halls of the SereniTree hoping that somehow, the crew will magically reappear -- despite having checked each room countless times.
She makes her way back to the command console, sits down and forlornly stares out into the black...**

Soul comes to slowly, shivering and...NAKED?!?!? He curses and covers himself, crawling to his feet. Looking around, he finds himself back in his cabin on the SereniTREE. Scrambling, he pulls together an outfit and gets dressed, being sure to strap his dagger to his belt and slinging his bow and arrows across his back. With one last adjustment of the bandolier of arrowheads across his chest, he makes his way to the common room.
Empty.
"Hello?"
No reply.
He shakes his head, trying to brush away the cobwebs that have gathered there. He remembers being on the SerenitTREE, Mai flying away, and then...nothing.
With a grumble he begins to search the ship for any sign of life.
