I am, but I was never a supporter. I love his dad, but Rand never struck me to have the level of integrity and principles as his father.

He now avoids his dad's talk of shuttering the Federal Reserve and abolishing the income tax. In a bigger shift from his campaign pledge to end earmarks, he tells me that they are a bad "symbol" of easy spending but that he will fight for Kentucky's share of earmarks and federal pork, as long as it's doled out transparently at the committee level and not parachuted in in the dead of night. "I will advocate for Kentucky's interests," he says.
Very disappointing indeed.

Incredible, isn't it?? It's like he can't think of anything to say, so he sits back and thinks "wait, I'll be condescending again, that's gotta get to 'em!". Does he think we care?
Wulfie, I don't even think you got that SENTENCE "got you figured you out."
What Mike said.
What CTTS said.
It will be interesting to see how they fare once they're IN office and have to face both the responsibility and the repercussions of their decisions. And how they try to spin them.![]()

Well this just proves that you don't know his father. Dr. Paul always TAKES earmarks and puts them in bills. He then votes against the bill... at the same time getting his district their fair share of shit... knowing the other whores will vote yes....seeing they pay into it he sees he is doing his constits fine. Now, he'd(as well Rand and others) like to make pork spending a thing of the past, but figures his constits might as well get what they are paying for...Goes against his grain, but figures if his constits are getting robbed by the government they should get some back...He IS. THEIR rep. It is his job... as the game is played now.

So if they're doing exactly what everybody else is doing, how is it that you think they AREN'T whores?
The modern definition of "socialist" is anyone who's winning an argument against a tea-bagger.

Got this one today ...
The Woman in the Hot-Air Balloon
A woman in a hot-air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You’re in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
"She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be an Obama Democrat."
"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me."
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Republican."
"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don’t know where you are or where you are going.. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it’s my fault."

Interesting how these things evolve. I heard that joke over a decade ago, with tiny changes. The person in the balloon (a man at the time) told the guy on the ground that he must be an IT. I forget what the other guy said he must be, but it just goes to show how derrogatory jokes can be made by any group against any other group to prove their "point".
Sorry, Kiki, gotta reject that one as old material twisted into "new" material.
If that were the case and I wanted to be nasty, I could turn "What are 10,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?" "A good beginning", by changing the word "lawyers" to "Republicans". I won't.
By the way, one of the things I found amusing about attorneys is that they LOVED jokes like that, and laughed at themselves and told derrogatory jokes about themselves to one another far more than anyone else.
They also loved "Why don't sharks bite lawyers?" "Professional courtesy"--that one was their favorite.![]()
