Are You Asking me to Dance?
But its still the 24th in the US
The panel is not till 1-2pm 25/7/04I shall be logging in shortly after 8-9pm expecting something, even if its an "....." I just saw the footage and cannot speak post.
Please - someone tell me we have a Browncoat in place to phone someone with a computer and let us have the news asap after the panel finishes (because having the mobile on and talking into it during the panel would be plain rude - and might mean they miss something).

Thought you'd like to know, Gwyneth: I got your shiny patches yesterday. One of them is now sown to the bag I'm carrying to Comic-Con. I'll let you know if the BDHs comment on it!

I've read several other reports and none of them in my opinion accurately convey the energy and sheer "lovefest-y-ness" of the Serenity session. No rock-concert/sporting event/theater I've ever attended has come close! The 4000 plus seats were filled to overflowing and the volume level of the audience was several times that of any other session I attended, including StarWars and LOTR. As I looked around I actually saw tears, and I'm pretty sure I saw tears forming in several the cast members as well. But don't get me wrong, this was far from being a sad event. The entire cast and Joss (especially Nathan), had the audience and each other in stitches the entire time.
Trust me the MP3 audio files of the event, don't even come close to conveying the energy and excitement level. I read a report claiming this was less exciting than the LA Comic con... I totally disagree. The only things better about the LA Comic con was that the Q & A was longer and everybody got autographs.
Prior to this event, I wasn't all that convinced that Serenity would be a blockbuster movie, I knew it would be profitable for the studio, I knew the DVDs would do well, and I knew it would be well received, but I wasn't sure it would be a blockbuster, now I'm convinced it will be. I'm not saying it's going to break any opening weekend records. But based on the size and passion of it's response, I know it's going to do very well. (Perhaps breaking the record an April release).
As for the teaser they showed, I'm not even going to try to describe it in any detail, I'll just say that, as impossible as it sounds, I'm even MORE excited about the movie!
About my only personal disappointment was seeing the "DVD Production" team there. I had really hoped to be involved in the DVD. However, my company still wants revolutionize DVD-ROM and we want to use the Serenity DVD to do it... Universal, are you listening?
