The plot is excellent if you don't pay attention. But when even your actors are pointing out plot holes, it's hardly an air-tight script.
I'm glad you got your future war though. Glad it satisfied you. But I found it to be far and away the worst of the franchise.

To me T2 can still hold it's head up high. Salvation had some elements that appealed to me as a sci-fi geek but ultimately, as with Minority Report, I would have gone in a different direction. But thats me.
Both merit honorable mention, both could have used different directors, and both deserved better. The Terminator series because, well, the story is a good one; and MR because of Philip K. Dick. Having said that, I like MR more than T4.

Hm. Okay. Fair enough. I found that ending a bit underwhelming myself. At least as it stands, he goes out trying to save a planet, not congradulating himself.

I think it as much SF (hate the term sci-fi by the way) as Watchmen or Iron Man, even more so than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I would have put Batman Begins on the list as well, except I didn't want to drop any of the other titles.

Yes, but why? Iron Man has mech suits - sci-fi. Watchmen has super powers, teleportation, etc - sci-fi. Eternal Sunshine has memory manipulation - sci-fi. Dark Knight has.... a guy in body armor... It's got some slightly hieghtened technology I suppose, but nothing really all that advanced. Beyond that... I can't think of any sci-fi elements present.

Kirk and Picard were both in the Nexus; both actually in their own Nexus. All they had to do apparently was to "wish" their way out of the Nexus back to that planet before the energy ribbon appeared so they could stop Dr. Soran.......SO....why couldn't Picard or Kirk or both wish their way back into the Nexus after they got rid of Dr. Soran, therefore keeping Kirk forever alive in the Nexus?
Furthermore, if the energy ribbon can be tracked as was shown, then why not use it for good, like sending dying or crippled people into it? Seems like a great final destination to me.
