Hilariously, the Daily Express today published the "official" cast news - with Ioan Gruffyd as Mr Fantastic, Elisha Cuthbert as Sue....

and Tim Robbins as Reed Richards.

Doh!

I personally think Jessica Alba does just fine as an actress. She can be Invisible Girl just fine. How hard could it be?

But, then again, I've never really watched the Fantastic Four before.

Dragon Lord

Summer: Jane's a girls name
Jayne: Well I ain't no girl! I can prove it!
Simon: I'm trying to picture you more vulgar... but, I can't

After all, its mostly a dotted line with grey.

I dunno, is the Invisible Girl an iconic character in the same way that Superman or Peter Parker is? By that I mean, would anyone have dreamed of either of those two characters as blonde? At the point that Cameron was mulling over Spidey, I think DiCaprio was attached (sheesh) - I'm certain he would have dyed his hair.

I genuinely don't know the answer to whether the FF are "icons", but that may therefore answer my own question.

Goota agree with maugwai- Chiklis rocks!

Kinda like to see Toni the Commish vs the bad cop he's playing now- *that'd* be an interesting day!

Doh! Fanfic plot bunny, just in another 'verse!

I hear she has recently dyed her hair, however she still looks nothing like the character in the comics. It would have been better for them to just have gone with a naturally blonde actress!

Jessica Alba is a beautiful woman, but she'll probably never be Invisible Girl to me.

O.K. I think it 's much like Haley Berry being cast as Storm, Berry is small and cute, Storm is tall and statuesque I would have seen Iman playing storm to a tee and not really needing to do much in the way of acting to get the part right.

Also, Storm should be darker-skinned, being 100% African. Still, I think she played the part pretty well. I tend to agree with the "Alba was the best auditioned" crowd.

That can be the only explanation. All of the blue-eyed, blonde-haired actress must have sucked in their auditions, or at the very least Alba is a better actress than we realized.

I hope a picture of her with contacts and dyed hair appears on the internet or TV real soon!

Here is a pic of Alba in her Sue Storm costume:

Actually, Jessica does not look too bad as Sue.
