Well sort of generically worth it, but in terms of preparing you for a career it only really seems to do that if it's a career that requires that specific degree.
I'm all for higher education ( have more than a few degrees myself) but I have to say in the job market it doesn't appear that one degree has a higher value than another unless it's for a specific job.

Graduate school is a whole other ball of (ear)wax from what I've heard.
The debate's tomorrow. I hope I'm not the most prepared person at the meeting today.
I need to take ibuprofen and do gentle stretching, but my shoulder/arm/hand will get better with time.. no MRI or X-ray required. (Yay!)
I'm probably dropping physics tomorrow. I got a 50 on the midterm and even with a very generous curve it's highly unlikely I'll be able to pull at least a C out of it. I'm going to take precalc and calculus before I try again. (It wouldn't hurt to review the algebra/geometry/trigonometry I haven't used in over 2 decades either...)
I hate admitting defeat, but I have to protect my GPA. It's a strategic retreat.
Doctroid's back from Virginia, safe and sound!
...aaaaand now something's crawling around in the walls. Ew.

I'm still waiting to see if I've made it out of grad school....I turned my three papers in three weeks ago tonight.
Sigh. I DO NOT want to have to redo the final Capstone experience. I am so very ready to be able to play with others again.
Barkeep, I think I'd like a nice dark ale to keep me company in maybe-post-grad-school limbo.....
On a brighter note, I did manage to sneek in some Serenity graphic novels with my Friday book order. Just doing my part to train the next generation of fans........

Ah yes grad school.. such annoyance, such frustration...so theoretically worth it:) I'm still debating the PhD.
but first, I must register for and take a test on Nevada law and constitution...yuck. ( grumble ...move to a new state and have new stuff...)

Passing down my empty bottle to add to your collection of breakables.

(Ducks flying shrapnel.)
Um. I'm going to join you in there after I get a large and highly potent beverage.
I got the paperwork signed by my adviser, and my professor, and handed it to the registrar and she said something that totally blew my cool and after rambling at Doctroid for another 10 minutes or so I talked myself out of dropping Physics 101.
I've never failed a college course before, it could prove interesting. I also might be able to salvage a C out of it if I give up sleep for the next six weeks.
I'll be Zombirific!
(Don't have to worry about zombie attack, not enough brains...)
Ts2Q!
(Too stupid/stubborn to quit.)
Now where'd I put that bat..?

And as soon as I get bottled up again, I'll also be joining you in the flying glass room. The university didn't like one of my answers, so now I have to decide if I appeal their decision or if I take Capstone again in the Spring. I am so mighty pissed off right now! I WISH I had a room full of breakable objects!
I don't know whether laugh or cry right now.

"Both" usually works for me. Though not at the same time. (Snorking your epiglottis up your sinuses and out your ears is not comfortable.)
Raise hell and then try again if that doesn't work? (Isn't this what advisers are supposed to be for?)
