Any Southern Nevada Browncoats out there?

I've gotten to this party really late! I wasn't going to watch Firefly, but a fellow teacher talked me into putting it on my Netflix queue last summer and wouldn't you know it, the first two discs arrived during the week my graduate school capstone project was due.
I thought - I'm only going to watch one episode, then go back to writing ten more pages on "the statistical success rate of library catalog searches" (yes - my eyes glazed over with non-excitement, too, when I read the question) - and then it was only going to be "one more" episode....and I spent the entire day watching those episodes over and over again and couldn't wait for disc three to arrive in the mail the next day.
Still don't know if I've passed grad school or not.
Anyway - if there are any Las Vegas browncoats out there....

WE ( myself and NVGhostrider) are in Reno.. I realize not so helpful, but you're not the only one in the state.
Also Stegosaurus is in Nevada as well.

Yay! I'm not alone in the Verse. Well, apparently, I'm alone in Las Vegas, but it's nice to find some other Nevadans here. Who know?Someday Tonapah may be hosting a shindig.

One of my close friends teaches sped, but she had to resign and move up to Washington to take care of her parents.
Ok. So how does one join up with a ship around here and start writing? I was reading some of the storylines on the other page. It sounds like fun.

I'm glad you had fun at this year's Ren Faire. I wanted to go. One of my friends is invovled with the Roman contingent. Sadly, my dad had a heart attack (he's good now) so I had other priorities, but next year I'm going.

That would be fun. I started a Las Vegas Browncoats group on Meetup.com and two others have responded, so there are a few of us down here. Hopefully it will grow into a larger group.
I thought it might be fun to have enough people to read the scripts or something.
We're going to meetup at a Starbucks on the 7th.
