Chrisisall paces the house on his day off, making visible impressions in the carpet as he unconsciously traces his own footsteps again and again. "It was shipped Saturday, why hasn't it gotten here already?", he thinks to himself.
He walks to the window to look out at the mailbox, even though the mail person never comes before 2pm.

I just been Past-Blasted all right!!! Got the set, & Sonisall and I watched the first ep! The ORIGINAL ship was in it!!!! SO COOL!!!
Yeah, a lot compressed into the short running time, but still a reasonably good set up for the series.
And they used the ORIGINAL ship!!!!
Also, the transfer was sharp! The colours were rich, and the only visual letdown at all was some of the original print issues (scratches, low-light filmstock irregularities, 2nd generation stock footage, and the like).
Tell ya the truth, it was a LOT better than I was expecting.

Gladiators was fine, but The Trap was awesome! Mark Lenard was a truly great actor. Sonisall said The Good Seeds was the best yet, but he went ahead of me on that one.

Oh yes 'The Trap'. I love that episode. You're right about Lenard, his portrayal of Urko(especially in The Trap) was downright inspiring. You can just feel his hatred of humankind.
Reminds me of a childhood favorite film -Hell in the Pacific -with Lee Marvin.
The Good Seeds is a perfectly fine episode(As I said I don't think there is a bad episode in the bunch) but my other favorites are:
-Tomorrows Tide
-The Legacy
-The Horse Race
and just for the sake of a goofier episode
-Up Above the World so High.
Glad your enjoying it Chris. I may have to break my tradition of watching the series once annually just to revisit the Planet of the Apes.

It was a 2-man shuttle , IIRC , and the 'wings' in this depiction were actually fairings on the original. This is a 'cloned' copy of the rocket , and the nose cone isn't quite right , but it is an example of the general planform shape of it...
Haven't found an image of the Lockheed vehicle yet , though. Might be at it a while because it was probably a 'black' program at one time.
