...have now been driven to either leave here or be here less, specifically because of the ugliness. It's a shame the few REASONABLE, intelligent people who post with civility get driven off, making the percentage of trolls higher and higher. Given the trolls have little to say but come here to spew and abuse people, it certainly lessens the appeal. I'm sure they'd be happiest if they cowed everyone else into leaving...which, by the way, is the case on another FFF forum I can think of. I assume the forum will survive, but it's a more unpleasant place when the vicious assholes are here.

It's a damned good thing there are a few good people left; I really appreciate you. Many more leave, tho' the trolls will get their wish, and have the place to themselves. They will probably find that terribly boring and THEY'll go away too.

JMHO on a day when I'm seeing this place rather negatively at the moment.

One of the things I wish this site had, which many others do, is a list of "who's on". If I could see that, I'd stay away when I know there's no communication possible, only jerks looking for a place to hurl (and I do mean the colloquial term) their spittle.

And deprive them of the ability to howl spittle-dripping obscenities and throw verbal feces over the net, cause it's really the only social interaction they have left cause their personalities are so vile ?

Now now, let's not be cruel here...

Just kidding, but yeah, I figure when V2.0 rolls out most of that crap will wither and die off anyhow.

Why anyone comes to a site devoted to a great TV show to debate politics is beyond me, especially considering how polarizing almost any opinion can be. No one has ever been persuaded to change their mind based on what some anonymous person has posted on an internet message board.

Please, all of you, get out of here and leave this site to those of us who want to discuss Firefly, Serenity and other great SF/F shows and related topics.

I'm mostly gone. I still watch. PN had some posts with cute field mice pictures and also posted something about (maybe?) having gulf war syndrome dreams, and I was compelled to reply.

Kaneman is not the reason I've made myself scarce. It's actually hard to pin down the source of the vitriol that gets dumped on me, but three of them I suspect are all one person.

Anyway, I don't care to defend myself against attacks when I don't have any idea where they're coming from. It's futile, and pointless, and this is just the goddamn internet, and I'm going to go live my life and not let it bother me. I've got enough stress driving me batshit insane and near suicidal as it is. They can continue posting, whatever. Like I said, I'm pretty much done here.
