I'm in the UK too and this is why I download US shows. I still pay for SkyTV so they get my money however I decide to watch it.
Castle is on a channel called Alibi over here, which as you say, no one really watches. It's generally full of old police/investigation shows. I do believe they have just started the second season of Castle, so that means they are only a year behind. In this day and age with technology as it is there is no need for such a long gap. I can understand the US watching their shows first (the same applies to the UK) but they should be shown in other countries with a couple of weeks at most.
Anyway, back to Castle and one of the main things I love about the show is Ryan and Esposito. Their interaction/chemistry is just as good as Castle/Beckett. None of them are throwaway characters just there to move the plot forward or give out info. They should definitely get an episode where they beat C/B to solving the crime.
And ss Esposito got his own episode last season I'm hoping Ryan will get one this season.
The chair scooting was hilarious and great how they let Ryan actually go out of frame before bringing him back.
Plus whilst I predicted about halfway through that Beckett was shooting at a bad guy in her stand off with Castle I didn't think he was. Then to see both their reactions of shock then relief was brilliantly done.

Pretty good episode. I liked how they kept running into Castle at the crime scenes.

Later on 10-15 yrs. it isn't going to be as enjoyable because it will be more obvious when the show was on originally.
No one else really cares about this do they? It's just me.
Someone wore a shirt in that episode? Didn't even notice.

Or they'll just assume Ryan has no fashion sense.
I mean, it is Ryan we're talking about.

Let me guess you were completely mesmerized by their facial expressions?
I like the way Beckett pulled on his ear. It actually looked like it hurt.
You weren't paying much attention to the burlesque dancer huh? As far as I remember she was the only character in the episode.

All is well in the uniVerse. Said 3 times, click heels, return to Serenity.
Beckett and Morgana's hairstyles match. Yuk.
Writing seemed dumbed down in season 3. I miss FF.
