The protesting of protesters. It is a Conservative group, but funny that the Anti-war protesters wanted them to be removed LOL. I guess if you aren't with em, then they're (the Anti-War Protesters) are against ya hehehe.

The perfect answer would be for Protest Warrior to show up at a anti-war protest being held near a presidential fund raiser, photo op ....

ohhh but that wouldn't work as the 'designated protest areas' are 2 miles from the President and no one in the media is anywhere near them to cover the inequality. Sad, isn't it?

"Just keep walkin, preacher man."

Perhaps the Protest Warriors are a covert anti-war group, designed to get coverage of anti-war events on pro-war news media?

Oooh ... (rubbing my hands with glee) ... and are they funded by the secret society that controls the world in league with the evil grey abducting aliens? (PurpleBelly ... you've just *got* to read Paranoia Magazine some time, LOL!)

I couldn't decide if the reference to "Paranoia Magazine" was in jest or real. I couldn't believe my eyes:

Personally, I prefer Fortean Times. Wider range of wierdness, coupled with dry British wit. The sort of magazine Rupert Giles would read.

I was really surprised to see they'd gone to the Web ... the last time I picked up a copy (print) they seemed to be pretty paranoid (!) about that sort of thing.

Odd but true story: I picked up my first and last copies when I visited the absolutely fascinating Conspiracy Museum in Dallas, Texas. For about three years afterwards, every single piece of mail from friends in the USA was opened and placed in those postal baggies before I received it.

Coincidence????

Is it just me or doesn't it seem funny that whenever the media says something that a conservative doesn't like it is all of a sudden called the "lies of the liberal media"? But they all still scramble for their remotes when the Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh come on tv.

The media in this country are not going for what points to their values(except for editorials), they are going for whatever story is going to sell the most copies, get them the highest ratings. It is not about information anymore, it is about entertainment. No offense to anyone here who may be in journalism in one form or another. Just my personal view.

It's not just you ... friends of mine in journalism would agree with you wholeheartedly.

If you're in the USA you might not have had the opportunity to see/read his stuff, but Noam Chomsky's "Manufacturing Consent" is well worth a look. There's a great documentary on it as well. I've heard he's 'persona non grata' in the US, but he's well-known here in Canada.

Be more specific about what they say, I'd suggest you check out how Dan Rather first reported the Sandy Berger situation.
I would also suggest you read books by Bernie Goldberg, who is a long time reporter.
When you have a business that's dominated by one particular group,( such as the media, who in polls have turned out to be predominatly liberal) your going to get a skewed result without intentionally trying to do so.
Secondly, although I don't listen to Rush but occasionally to O'Reilly, they are commentators, they're paid to give opinion, journalist are not, so the comparison doesn't gell.
