Get it!? red as..............lol
Great that ur passing on the Bond tradition onto number one son. Especially something from ur childhood. I remember my first was From Russia, then Goldfinger (I didn't get to see Dr. No in the theatre).
My Fav Bond: Sean Connery (the original)
My fav: Goldfinger
Fav Bond girl name: Pussy Galore (smirk, giggle)
Fav Bond Girl: a toss up between Michelle Yeoh and Halle Berry (I can't remember their screen names).
Fav Bond song: Goldfinger/You Only Live Twice
Fav Bond Meanie: Blofeld/Klebb
Fav Bond Henchman: Odd Job
Fav Bond Cheesy line:
Bond: “Who are you?”
Pussy: “My name is Pussy Galore.”
Bond: “I must be dreaming.”
I'm sure there's more; I'll come back later.

Last Starfighter - fav guilty pleasure
The reason why I like Dr. No is because it's the old Bond (shaken, not stirred) before the imposters starting screwing with the action, bravado and sheer delight of the originator.
I saw Moonraker in the theatre and almost hurled.
Sean Connery is Bond, even Pierce Brosnan wasn't quite enough.

Moore was a joke & Dalton was miscast.
Lazenby was good, and it was too bad he didn't do Moore's run.

I agree Chris. Brosnan breathed new life into a dead and dying franchise, and was quite credible as Bond.
I like the new/new treatment with Daniel Craig. Olga Kurylenko in 'Solace' (schwing!); but I'm from the old school - Sean Connery is the shit.

Honey Rider in 1962 had a look that still holds up to today's look, I think. Every generation has their own Bond mine is Connery and Moore. Dr No was actually a flop on the first run but after From Russia with Love became a mega hit it was re released so I am told. Casino Royale should have been the first movie. They did not own the rights at that time. Spectre is the shadow goverment that is discovered by Daniel Craig. In Dr No this is Bond's first encounters of this secret group.

Totally agree!
The final nail in the coffin for that one was when Bond comes over the waves in that MacGyverized sailboard.
My favorite thing about the Bond films is the stunts, and in the days before CGI, you could tell just by the camera placement that you were seeing a real guy skiing off the edge of the cliff, or flipping the car in a spiral...
In Die Another Day, we get this Bullet-Time lookin' "virtual camera" move that swoops down and around onto Brosnan's obviously CGI'd face, and it kills the whole thing.
