Those are great photos by todays standards, never mind back then. Truly amazing quality from the tecnology back then.

I wonder if his specialist camera is in a museum somewhere, if it still exists.

They were pretty rare. Just think, 45 yrs before these pics were taken, Abe Lincoln was President in the U.S.

As for film, it wasn't until the 30's that we saw color started to being used. I think the '36 Olympics has some color news footage....
