I would certainly recommend it. It's a very dark movie (especially if you watch the director's cut), which presents a take on time travel you don't really see in other films.

Thank you for introducing Groundhog's Day into the thread but yikes! The Lake House is one of my all time least favorite time travel movies and I have to say that The Time Traveler's Wife was a sad remnant of a much greater worker.

If we open it up to TV episodes then I have to say, "Yesterday's Enterprise" trumps any movie from my list. One of my favorite bits of filmed science fiction ever. It takes a great show like Firefly to compete with that glorious bit of filmmaking.

Yep. Thats the one. I caught it quite by accident years ago and I was really impressed with the pacing of it. Daniels is good in it, and I liked the concept. I don't know anything about the short stories though. Does it even credit the short story do you know?

Yes, I just checked my DVD and the story is credited. However, it says it was written by Laurence O'Donnell and C. L. Moore. O'Donnell was one of the many pen names used by Henry Kuttner, and sometimes it was used on collaborations by him and Moore. She was his wife, and they wrote many stories together as well as separately. Robert Silverberg once wrote a sequel story to "Vintage Season" entitled "In Another Country," and in the introduction to the collection it is in he credits the original story to Moore alone. I have read several sources that say it is difficult to distinguish a lot of their stories as to the true authorship.

I think my all time favorite, #1 time travel movie would be “ Planet of the Apes” 1968 with Charlton Heston. Why, you ask?

Yepper it does. Within the first seven minutes Commander George Taylor suggest that the time period he and his crew have spent out in the vastness of space does not equal the time period back on Earth That Was! So the conclusion =TIME TRAVEL.
What would our planet be like if we were to venture away for ten years? I’m hoping that we would return to a civilized culture that could teach us something instead of the other way round.

Time Banbits, love the scene where John Cleese tells the small bandits that the treasures they’ve stolen will be appreciated by the poor.
Déjà Vu …….excellent movie and a real tear jerker about lost/found love.
I’m sure there are lots of other time movies that haven’t made the list purely because they have not been thought of.
