-Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
-Back to the Future Trilogy
-Stargate Continuum
-Not really a movie, but Doctor Who's "The Pandorica Opens"/"Big Bang" (the recent two-part season finale). It's actually surprisingly rare that time travel actually gets used as a plot device (it's usually more like the Tardis lands in one time-frame, they have an adventure, the Tardis leaves). This time the Doctor & River's time-hopping ends up being the whole point of the episode(s).
-Also not a movie, but the "Avalon" arc of Gargoyles, where the Archmage meets his future self, gets taken on an adventure which gradually turns him into his future self, then goes back in time to meet his past self (thus closing the time-loop), while the "original" future-Archmage goes on to meet his destiny.

The Final Countdown.
12 Monkeys
Terminator series.
The Last Mimzy.
STIV.

edit - Last Mimzy was far better. Timeline - early Gerard Butler work, but the book was much better.

I think I'm forgetting a couple, so I may edit later.

I did really like Time Rider, and own it, but it's not better than those 5 - tho the soundtrack is better.
Not on my list, but is Somewhere in Time a time travel flick?
Or Next?

For books, I liked Dean Koontz' Lightning probably the most.

For TV, STNG "Yesterday's Enterprise" with Battleship Enterprise and the only instance Enterprise C is shown on screen.

We agree about one of the Time Machine movies.
1. The Time Machine (1960) www.imdb.com/title/tt0054387/ In the garden shed, built two machines, one miniature, the other full-size of brass and leaded crystal.
2. Star Trek 8: First Contact (1996) www.imdb.com/title/tt0117731/ Borg Queen is kinky.
3. Primer (2004) www.imdb.com/title/tt0390384/ Make a movie about time travel in your garage!
4. Déjà Vu (2006) www.imdb.com/title/tt0453467/ Because Denzel makes time travel look painful. You never willingly make a second trip.
5. Futurama - The Late Philip J. Fry (2010) www.imdb.com/title/tt1630896/
Fry: "You know, all in all, I had a good life. What do you say to the three of us grabbing a six-pack and watching the Universe end?"
Bender: "That's basically what I do every night."
Fry's toast & question: "To the end of the Universe! ... What was the purpose of Life?"
Professor Farnsworth: "Probably some hogwash about 'The Human Spirit'."

Honorable mention: The Butterfly Effect (which pains me, 'cuz I hate Ashton.... but it's a solid flick).
