Julia Houston, the diva of Sci-Fi over at ABOUT.COM, has written a wonderful article about Firefly.
Here's an excerpt:
Quote:
But the fun of Firefly has surprisingly turned out to be not in watching this motley crew try to gel, but in learning how they quite purposefully came together in the first place. These are people who have made their choices and prize the freedom such choices bring, even though this means learning to live on the poor fringes of a vast and prosperous society.

Don't miss the "How do you rate Firefly" poll at the end of this great article!

More articles like this would be so good for Firefly. Intelligent writing and a rave review, very nice.

Great article! Except for the fact that it's Joss Whedon, and not John Whedon. It's an honest mistake, I suppose. Names are tricky. (Including Malcomb is actually Malcolm).

Yes! Why don't we get more people writing in the press (I admit it's a stretch to call a web site "the press") about how great FireFly is?
In the latest (December?) issue of GQ there's an article about Cedric. I haven't read it yet, but the fact that he gets a full page or two in a major magazine-- c'mon! Firefly should be getting its share of the press too!
Don't any of us know people in the press who can write about Firefly?

eeeee. Well, Salon had three huge strikes against it (cough- Orson Scott Card interview), but this I suppose adds -1 strike, leaving them a spare before I blackball them again. Go Salon?
