Ponder: If we're all wiped out in the next 6 months are you content with the life you lived?

I just read some article that the gulf oil spill has some signs of catastrophic life ending events. They are worried about the methane that is leaking out. Apparently scientists believe that twice in the past there have been massive methane explosions after under water fissures opened up. Both times they killed the large majority of life on Earth. They say if it's going to happen then it will likely occur in the next 6 months.

So, on that happy note do you go to the grave content with the way you lead your life or upset about something you did/didn't do?

For me I think I'd mostly be content. Sure I'd live out my last days differently if I knew the end was coming, but based on the incomplete information that I have I think I live the way I'd like to.

I certainly have some bad choices in my life, but I have experienced a lot things that I did not dream of when very young. No regrets.

I'd be very disappointed that the opportunity to kick the fear mongering "scientists" and media pussies feeding us all this end of the world crap swiftly in the reproductive organs. Between them and country music artists bombarding the airwaves with overly sentimental rubbish I find it harder to enjoy two things I love a ton: nature and music. I love to listen to so many music genres that I feel ripped off for not being able to listen to country music on free radio of all things. Think I'm just tired and cranky. Sorry about the ranting and all.
To me not knowing is the way to be. No point in toiling over the thought of your loved ones suffering through the end of days. My Bud and I were discussing the use of nuclear weapons against major cities in the book Day By Day Armageddon after the world fell apart from a zombie plague. I honestly felt relief for remaining survivors surrounded by a sea of the undead, vaporized rather than suffering through the agony of exposure, hunger, and thirst. In the event that any one of the end of all things theories should happen I do hope it is a swift event that the Earth never really notices and simply rebuilds itself as it has many times in the past. Man believes cataclysmic events are the end of all things. The Earth will endure where man does not.

And now we return to the Happy Fluffy Bunny Hour...

After doing more research I think the author of that article was more or less full of it. If that helps at all.

Still think it makes for a good ponder though. The whole live every day like it was your last concept. Which is obvious BS too because if everyone did that no one would ever go to work

Maybe "live every weekend like it was your last" would be better.

This is brutal. All my friends that I bug during work are gone for the day. I'm isolated! Not only that but I have a thing that made me mentally lol and no one to tell it to. You know what that means, right? It's coming at you guys!

I'm helping to test something at work and it needs 8 servers to test on. So, our lab guys set them up for me. I was like, "oh duh I need to know the names so I can log in to them". Lab guy sent me a link to the names. They are as follows: lolcats, icanhaz, cheezburger, donotwant, itsalion, getinthecar, ihasabukkit, and nomnomnom. I like it.

Nomnomnom sounds like me when I see a chocolate covered donut. We have every kind of restaurant and food store in the universe except a donut shop where I live. Is that fair? God hates me.

Not fair at all. Although if you have a good Italian restaurant in your town it's better than my craptown. All we have is like a million seafood places. Darn you eastern shore!

Also about that whole world ending stuff...I'm still in college and working retail. I definitely have not done everything I want to do.

Someone posted this last week at Hotel 23 and I almost dropped a man part laughing.

It was late and I hadn't had anything to drink due to having to almost over-hydrate to keep up with a few things I've been doing lately.
