Saw a documentary on the island, and I think there was a thread, regarding the show " Earth after Humans " or what ever.

Thanks for the post, that was a really interesting read. Anyone remember the scifi show Chase? This is the kind of setting they should have looked for, not an ornamental garden or a theme park.
