I'm not registered with a particular party. I've voted for Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, and Green candidates in previous elections. This year I'll be voting Democrat (at least on the president question).

I'm still registered independent but I've been voting pretty straight republican for a few years.

Unofficial Republican-- that is, I haven't actually registered with the GOP yet, but I am fairly conservative.

Officially, I'm a registered republican (that happened so I could vote in a gubernatorial primary in NJ). Idealogically, I'm closer to conservative Libertarian.

I am proud to be an unclassified voter. I believe that the two major party system is one of the many flaws in how the US government works today. I mean, if some "third guy" comes into the race, this year Nader, both the Democrats and Republicans immediately start crying about so and so is messing up the process by taking votes away from my party. Sorry about my mini-rant, I do that a lot.
Another problem is the electoral college system. I know it was an original formation of the country but now it just fails to work. All politicians are in the mindset that only people in certain states are important. The way it works right now, not everyones votes is worth the same amount. The poor people that live in small states like Wyoming or Montana (not picking on ya'll) don't get as much say as the people of New York. I think that the system was set up with the intention of being a kind of proportion system where if Candidate A gets 60% of the vote, Candidate B gets 30%, and Candidate C gets the other 10%, then they get that proportion of the states electoral votes. The way it works now, if I get one more vote than you and the state has 13 electoral votes I get all 13. I think that if this happened, I should get 7, you should get 6.
Okay, if you read through that congrats.
If it didn't make since, sorry, I was typing on the fly.
Don't hate me for my views, no matter how out there they may be.
