I think not!
I loved the opening credits as they were! Gave me a nice warm feeling.

I for one would never have watched the show if it'd had credits like that.
Too much like cheesy 80's shows like Streethawk or Automan.

It's okay, but leaving Sean out seemed a bit odd.

I just saw this via a link tweeted by Grant Imahara. I thought it was quite amusing. They really captured the 80's feel.

I wanted to like it, since I like cheesy 80's shiat, but leaving Simon out? Sorry, that's crap.

/original is pitch perfect anyway :)

Hell, I was thinking T.J. Hooker, but still....

Liked the video sequence, but hated the techno music crap.

As much as I adore Jewel, I think she shows up a bit early in the line up. And honestly, how do you leave Sean out ?

Still, a more attention grabbing opener couldn't have hurt.

Being an un-sophisticted hick who loves schlock and cheese, I actually liked it. It reminded me of those Saturday afternoon shows on the WB in the 90's like Cleopatra 2525, Jack of All Trades, Andromeda, and Hercules. If Firefly had been around during that time it would have fared much better on the WB on Saturday afternoon than it did on Fox's prime time.

Wow, that was just...super cheesy 80s sequence. THe music didn't fit Firefly at all. The visuals were okay, but the font was like something out of a late 80s video game. And leaving out Sean was so not cool. I kept waiting for a shot of him with no shirt...

Firefly deserves much, much better. And I love the opening it has.

I couldn't get past the first ten seconds. Yeah, it's eighties, but why do you need to list out the characters so blatantly, like someone couldn't figure out "this actor plays this character" without some godawful ugly looking insert frame. Felt like it insulted my intelligence, and the initial beat felt like it was raping my ear.
