Was this the Den of Thieves episode? That title was not a quote from any line in the show, so I assume it was a Firefly shout out.
Anybody know if Katja is a FF fan, or follower, or understands the references, or even that they are from FF?
This is the 2nd episode I've seen, other was S2 finale.

Have you seen the Castle Halloween episode where Nathan dresses up as a space cowboy?

Is Katja Katic Stana...Beckett?

We know several of the writers are Firefly fans...especially Jose Molina...he wrote Ariel and co-wrote Trash. The writers and Nathan sneak in as much as they can.

Joss is one of those "writer's writers." His stuff is very popular in the trade, not so much with the general public. The one bright side of this sort of thing is that casting directors, writers, directors and producers tend to be fans of these shows, and this provides more work for the cast and crew involved. Thus all those Firefly folk on shows like Castle, Chuck and so on.

It's rough on those few viewers who like this sort of stuff, but that's the curse of quality TV. Joss should do more work on cable (where quality can survive with those smaller audiences.)

I don't know how much Stana knows about Firefly/Serenity. She knows about Mal's Browncoat outfit because Castle wore it for the Halloween episode.
