USA USA USA USA USA USA

Truth be told, no one in America cares about soccer. That we don't even try at this sissy game and went to S. Africa and won our group against England is hilarious. They live for that girlie game. That we are better, faster, and stronger than the Brits is not a surprise to anyone. The world has known we are better than that rinkey dink ISLAND nation for 225+ years. See, when we sent them home with musket balls in their asses, they were forever known as wimps. Then you listen to their gay accent and right away they become cartoon characters....They must hate us. Can you imagine the inferiority complex

But they are underdogs, simply because they're the American team, and it's their first time. I don't think it matters what nationality they are originally, it's like hiring a gladiator to fight in the colosseum, or a mercenary to fight in a war. Your money paid for them, they're ostensibly representing you.

This post is inaccurate. They are Americans. They do play soccer in other countries for a living. But, they are our boys and that is what makes it fantastic......

But what makes you think that being better, faster, stronger helps at all in this sissy game? You're confused. You yanks don't have a clue. I thought my country was a girly country, and had prowess at this sissy game to prove it - but then the USA sacheted in and out-girlied us all. The rest of the world *is* nervous - your American uber-sissy men have stunned the whole tournament, and raised the bar of girliness of our beloved girly sport. The shadow of American femino-masculinity will soon eclipse the world.

Heads should roll

They even look better in dresses than us.

Yep.

And that is why the world hates them.

Heads should roll

Has the trash talk portion of the thread started yet? I've been informed that trash talk is perhaps the most enjoyable part of the game.

Kaneman: You might be right. A majority of the players in teams in the American NSL are European, and I always thought that players for World Cup teams were pulled up from the local national teams. But maybe they're American. I don't know enough about the current team.

England is one of the few countries of the world deserving of respect and admiration. WWII....Blitzkreig bombings of London, Battle of Britain, Nazi V-1 Buzz Bomb rockets daily strikes for a couple of years, jungle warfare fighting the Japanese in Burma, and other hellholes in SE Asia and China that no other Ally ever fought...AND ALL of this by themselves! The USA was sittin' it out. We hadn't felt or apparently even seen enough of Mr. Hitler or General Tojo's aggression and atrocities to join the fight anywhere in the world. But England fought them everywhere. And on the high seas, again it was England fighting off the Nazi U-boat wolfpacks and suffering incredible losses in lives and cargo. Yeah, eventually America joined the fight against the evil Axis powers, but it was those crooked-tooth chaps from England who did all the dirty work in the early years. So the next time you think about England, consider that. And they gave us the Beatles and Rolling Stones too, yanno, those guys with the funny accents.

Anyone playing for a national team must be a citizen of that country. Doesn't matter where you play elsewhere, but all our boys are from the USA.

I heard it's tied up now.

EDIT: Whoops, nope, it was tied up for a while into overtime, but it looks like the final score's come through.
