If you have time to spare, please watch and support 'Pioneer One.'
If it succeeds, it could pave the way for other productions--perhaps even a Firefly one--to be financed in this manner.

Sounds like something the Sy-Fy network may be interested in, God knows they love "low budget" stuff.

Hello,
Where is this airing?

Due to the use of Naomi 3.3.2 Beta web filtering, the following people may need to private-message me if they wish to contact me: Auraptor, Kaneman, Piratenews, Wulfenstar. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Purely web. Distributed via P2P.
This type of production model is still in its infancy, but I can see how several years from now, when we tire of our favorite series being canceled, that there may in fact be high quality fan funded series or movies that are distributed entirely on the web.

Hello,
Well, I spent all day downloading this. I'll let you know what I think.

Hello,
First Impressions:
Having the camera shake even while filming something static was disturbing to me and distracting.
The decor of the space observatory, particularly the walls, felt wrong to me.
The gray haired scientist in the observatory at the opening scenes did not feel genuine in the way that he spoke and conveyed information.
Some of the director's choices seem odd, like filming a helicopter's search light and glare for several seconds.
I see Homeland Security uses Macs. Good for them.
After concern over radiation, there was no mention of it when they were looking at rocks and pieces of the craft. I'd expect it to have been talked about briefly.
Well, I thought the power adapter belonged to a mac, but then they went and stuck a camera on it. I guess I was wrong.
I like the Doctor. "What other opinion would it be?" Ha!
This bearded fellow with the glasses is sure unkind towards the Russians. They lack imagination? Hmph.
Doctor Zachary Walzer's place looked more like an observatory. ;-)
Zachary Walzer is an asshole. It's good to see more strong personalities.
Having the Doc stop to drink from the fountain was the most brilliant actor or directorial decision in the entire show.
***************
With all my criticisms, this is about a hundred times better than I could have done. If they had some script polishing and an investment of cash, they could probably turn this into something pretty good. They did an impressive job with a bunch of volunteers and six grand. I'd like to see what they might accomplish with 100k per episode.
