Of course, there are the famous Vasquez rocks, where Kirk fought the Gorn in the original Trek series, and has been used many times since, in a whole crapload of movies (including Star Trek 4, 7 and 10).

It also appeared once in NCIS (of all things).
Ironically, it apparently did not appear in DS9, which used. . . the canyon mentioned in the previous post.

Like I said... a crapload. I found a list of at least 30 films that have shot there.

Also used in Trek XI, but with a little CGI enhancement.

I'm sure I saw it in Bonansa episode and probably in other westerns. It can be made to look diffferent by changing the camera angle, but it stands out.
