Can't wait... looking at the schedule there's a match a day for a month to be interested in...

and all in HD!

My top 4:

USA USA USA USA!

I kid

I have us yanks getting drubbed in the opener with Eng - 4-0. My money is on Crouch for a 2-fer. I will be cheering for us but I consider it a big victory for US soccer if we can get out of the group play.

1. Spain, how can you not?
2. Eng - Rooney! Swearing at a ref?? Who hasn't?
3. Holland - depending on Robben
4. Italy - I hope they play like they have something to prove

What's with all the injuries? Nerves? Drogba, Nani - sad

It is a bit annoying that so many games are going to be during work hours... I certainly don't have an expert opinion. I like England's chances. Of course, I'd like to see the U.S. go far, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up...

I've never gotten into sailing. I hope the US wins the race just for the heck of it, but really I couldn't care less.

I think USA has a good chance of progressing out of the group stage. Me and a lot of my fantasy football mates are big fans of 'President' Clinton Dempsey.

Spain look hard to beat, but there's a very strong trend against Euro teams winning the WC outside of Europe... and vice versa.

My tips:

1)Brazil
2)Spain
3)England
4)Argentina

Heads should roll

I haven't seen much of Clint from this year other than that amazing late goal against Juventus - that was poetry, and what a match.

Argentina - I forgot them. A lot of great players, and I think all of them are healthy too.

I was wondering something about Argentina. I read something that made Argentina's coach out to be a primadonna, making all sorts of extravagant demands (like multi course meals all the time and heated toilet seats) from the hotel they are staying at in South Africa. Is this usual behavior for most teams? I'm wondering if the excessive pandering/gluttony and expectation that they be treated extra special will affect the team's performance... (No offense to Argentina fans, I'm just curious). I guess what I'm asking is, "Is that kind of entitlement par for the course for all teams, or is Argentina overly entitled and might it affect their performance?"

I'm hoping it's someone other than the usual suspects of Brazil, Italy, Germany and Argentina.

So I'm supporting:

Diego Maradona, the Argentine coach, is a whole phenomenon in himself. A legendary player and, frankly, more than a bit unbalanced. In fact, there are some who believe that he is willfully undermining his team's best player--maybe the world's best player--Messi to ensure that Maradona himself will forever be lauded as Argentina's finest player.

We are doing a match lottery at work, with everyone picking one team from the hat. I got France. As an Irish girl, I am appalled.
