For the fifth year, Vancouver (BC) joins in the global CSTS charity event, celebrating Joss Whedon and the "Firefly/Serenity" 'verse.
Saturday, June 26th at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre Auditorium from 11 am to 5:30 pm. Doors open at 10:30 and we will begin singing along to "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" just after 11, ending the day with a screening of Serenity at 3 pm. In between we have an Evil Laugh Contest, the best of "The Masked Roger" webseries, costume contest, a first look at the rough cut of "Browncoats: Redemption", Whedon-Works Bingo, and a silent auction with many shiny items, including some from Star Wars, Star Trek, V, and other fandoms. CASH ONLY please. We will also have grab bags and door prizes.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in person for cash at Happy Bats Cinema (2830 Main Street) or La Fontana Caffe or on our blog at http://serenityscreeningvan.blogspot.com. While you're there check out some of the auction items. Join us for a day filled with fun and laughter while raising money for Equality Now and the BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre Foundation.
