Hey all Black Country Browncoats,
This is getting rather creepy as I live in Kingswinford also. Seems that there is a large concentration of browncoats associated with the area must be something in the water, or just very good taste.
See everyone at Serenity

Am moving to Lincoln university in September though :D
So erm, now you know a Firefly fan who's not related to you. As far as I know in any case lol :D

Well as the name says, I'm originally from Geordieland, but currently living nor far from Leeds. We should have a midlands or north-ish shindig!!! ie, beer and a pub and drunken people.

Another Northern Browncoat here - Wigan - just off J27 of the M6.
I'm booked in for Serenity. I was planning to travel down by train, but it just struck me that if there's enough people wanting to get together from the Nort-West I could drive a car-load down - I have a 7-seater car.
I seem to remember that the hotel offers free parking for people staying.
Any interest?
I'd also be up for some sort of Northern meet-up or shindig.
I just took the plunge of telling my 2 sons that Mum has booked to go to an S-F convention - response - "One of those geeky things where people dress up?" "Yup" "giggle, giggle, giggle".
Sigh. It will be nice to meet people who DON'T think it's weird....

I used to work for University of Lincoln, and my husband still does...
He has been trying to convert everyone else at UoL, one of his workmates left this week and Husband was in charge of the collection, bought him the FF DVD box set as his leaving present! So you can help him spread the word

Frances
I'm standing right here...

Hi
Well some people dress up, some dont, I dont usually cos I dont feel like it. Best thing about cons are the people, from all walks, ages, places, but all have common link and all get well because of it. You will have fun.

Hi Nic,
Wow, this is damn shiny I must say. I am in Kingswinford myself, in fact I've lived here all my life apart from when I was away at uni oop north. I thought I was singlehandedly charged with trying to convert all the purplebellies around here, but clearly not
. Bring on the reinforcements!

If you could ask your friend about the release, that would be cool! I'm trying all sorts of avenues to find out but none have any info as yet.
I'm on it... I don't expect to be successful (I expect the information won't even be available to cinemas for months yet) but I will try. You never know...

You must join our plans when we have them!
I'd be happy to! At the moment, the only local I've converted is the chap who sits next to me at work (a big fan but not as obsessed as myself... yet) so I'm always up for meeting new Browncoats for shindigs etc, and I will be at Serenity too.
Regards,
Ade, also waving a Browncoat flag at Obsidian...

Heh. Probably good taste. If it is something in the water, we should start piping it out to other areas of the country quick, preferably before April next year!

Cheers,
Ade
