He did an amazing job in his Broadway show of George Bush that HBO has aired a few times....absolutely hysterical, no matter if you liked or hated Bush. Also, his Best of SNL dvd's are terrific too.

I'm over 40 and have enjoyed sme of his work, mostly after 40. Rush went on and on about Holloway's hit "What it Love" because it cracked him up by reminding him of Will's Roxbury Boys skit. So I actually enjoyed the film.
I think I caught parts of Anchorman, didn't thrill me.
If you can get over his lack of subtlety in characters, many of the films he is in can be enjoyable.
I'm more shocked that some child here hasn't changed the thread title. I guess that means the children of this site stay in RWED spouting liberalness.

I have to agree with Dancer, here. Stranger than Fiction was a good movie, and Will Ferrell was good in it. This is likely because he wasn't doing his over-the-top shtick. He was playing a normal, subtle character. I'd actually say it was a classic and much-missed story trope: Sane Man in and Insane World. The world goes insane around him and we watch what happens. He grows and evolves and deals with this world that he suddenly doesn't quite have a handle on.
I need to watch that movie again.
...I'm not sure what the name of this thread would be changed to. Aside from "No Anchorman 2" or "Discussion on the merits of Will Ferrell movies" or something. I guess those would be more accurate, but I just... don't care enough.

The funny thing is Anchorman is probably better appreciated by people in the 40 and over crowd being that it parodies 70's machismo. Not a huge fan of Ferrell on the whole but this movie does make me laugh quite a bit. On a related note his Harry Caray and Jeopardy skits are some of the funniest SNL had to offer during that period.

No, to continue the trend the title would be changed to anything which derails and obfuscates the actual topic - you are thinking opposite, a change which would enhance the description of the thread. This is not the way of the children here.

Well, coming from within my own mind as I do, I only change thread titles when I think such changes would bring more clarity to what's contained within, whether because the poster of the thread gave it a vague title, or on occasion because the discussion has spun so far off-topic that the original title no longer reflects the contents.
Since that was kind of off the topic of the thread...

That is very rude of you to do. Just because you or others have valiantly tried to diffuse, deflect, obfuscate or whitewash the intended topic of a thread does not warrant your petulant changing of the title to what you want it to be, unless you are asked to do so by the OP. You should really know better, although I expect less of others here.
If you want to open a seperate thread with the topic you want it to be witht he title that you watn to have, that would be the far better option rather than abusing your jackboot to imprint everybody else's threads with your cookiecutter viewpoint - that is nothing but disrespectful, and uncivil. Please reread the request at the top of the response window: please be civil when responding to others. This means stop the childish behavior of changing the title to suit your petty prejudices, unless the OP asked you to do so.
