"With episode 24 about to roll, I have officially worked on my final episode of #Castle.
Farewell and good luck to the best cast and crew in town -- and thanks to all the fans for all your incredible support!

That concerns me as well. Fillion does a pretty good job of putting his own stuff in too. Case in point -- Serenity's catalyzer on the shelf in his apartment. And he worked in a "Feed the Birds". So perhaps the Capt will carry on.

We know Nathan can carry his part, it's the rest of the show and plot writing I'm concerned about. I watch the show, but honestly sometimes the writing is barely passable and even embarrassing as is.

The link goes to a press release for Haven, a new SyFy miniseries based on the novella The Colorado Kid, by Stephen King. Oddly enough, Jose Molina isn't mentioned in the press release.
Anyway, interesting that he'd leave Castle for this? I guess it must be amazing? Or he needed a change?

No need to be concerned, the Firefly references in Castle haven't actually come from Jose - or even Nathan for the most part - for example Vampire Weekend where Castle put on his "space cowboy" costume, that was all writer Terri Miller (who is also show creator Andrew Marlowe's wife).
We don't need to worry about Castle - it's in very awesome hands with Andrew Marlowe!
