Can't change avatar!!!

O.k. Here's the thing - I really want to have my OWN avatar, so I clicked on Custom... only that didn't DO anything, so I can't see how I would ever get a custom icon up on the site! Anyway, Haken, I got your message that it would have to be smaler, so I'm working on it. In the meantime, I simply changed from one icon to another - only NOTHING HAPPENED!!!

(BTW, I like the icon, but I don't get why it is called that, and I don't usually like to use that language. Can we have a sad icon that just says ?)

Anyway, what's going on??? Am I stuck with this avatar forever?

Try hitting control-refresh (if you're using IE) and see if that fixes. What's happening is your browser is loading the avatar you have in cache. Refreshing a page that contains your avatar will download the updated version into your cache.

I just did it and I see your updated avatar.

O.k. Now when I reported that it worked, I was at work

but now I'm home and I can't get this to work. I can see my correct avatar in Profiles but not in the threads!

Help!!!

It's the same problem. Try doing refresh in one of the threads that you appear on.
