The Secret to Obtaining "Serenity" is Cake

Angel's Food Drive ( www.Angelsfooddrive.com) and Mutant Boosters ( www.MutantBoosters.com) will be sending two sheet cakes from Topozios Bakery to the set of Serenity. Puppet Angel enjoyed the cakes we sent to the set of ANGEL so much he thought that Joss Whedon and the folks working on Serenity would enjoy them too. And, well, how do you say "no" to Puppet Angel - he might vamp out on us.

Each sheet cake has enough servings for 100 people. We will request that the bakery take photos of the cakes to post on the site for everyone to see. In addition, we will be sending along a disposable camera just in case the cast and crew feel inspired to take a few candid shots and send them to us.

We will need approximately $310 to achieve this goal. Any overages will carry over to the Not Fade Away Campaign in which all proceeds are donated to the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. Please check out http://www.angelsfooddrive.com/serenity_cakes.html for more details.

If you click on the paypal link (symbol) on the website, it takes you to Paypal and it should be self explanatory. Even if you don't have a paypal account, you can still use your credit card. You can also send a check or money order too. Please email Denise at orbistra@yahoo.com and she can give you a mailing address.

i tried to make a donation, but paypal just bounced it back and said they couldn't take money from credit cards at the moment. bunch o' useless wasters.

I don't understand unless their server was busy. Please try again after an hour and let me know if it worked or not. You're not the only one I've heard that was having a hard time with Paypal. I'm wondering if they had some problems today.

they are having problems, it said that they can't take any credit card payments at the moment, but you can transfer from your paypal balance or direct from your bank account. 'cept they aint got the bank account bit working on the uk site at the moment, so its not really an option for us brits.
