Reavers versus...

Klingons!
I'm not talking about a bird of prey vs. whatever busted ass ship the reavers are trucking around in with no core containment. Did the Pax have the unexpected side-effect of making you impervious to radiation poisoning? (May also cause itching, sneezing, and rectal bleeding. Consult a doctor if you have suicidal thoughts or an erection lasting more than nine hours.)
I digress. What I'm talking about is a crazed, flesh-eating, drug-induced-zombie with whatever weapons it can get a hold on going up against a bat'leth-wielding, Kahless-quoting warrior of the empire. Who do you put your money on and do you bet in gold pressed latinum or family feeding protein bars?
Let the nerd fight begin.
I pray for one last landing,
on the globe that gave me birth.
Let me rest my eyes on the fleecy skies
and the cool, green hills of Earth.

Klingons. I'd explain but apparently I need to go consult a doctor.

Smart Mony is on the Klingons. The Batleth is a clumsy weapon but they practice with it and work in teams so they can beat any number of berserkers (i.e. the old name for Reevers).

Didn't know the reavers were originally going to be called berserkers. I wonder if they changed it to please the Norwegian audience or to avoid Jay and Silent Bob jokes.
I too would wager my protein bars on the Klingons unless its Duras, Galron (sp?) or B'lana Torres. And if it's Worf I'd wager everything I have on him against a dozen reavers. He's the only Klingon I ever saw you actually followed through with the adage about making the bat'leth an extension of yourself.

My money is definitely on the Klingons. They are well trained, strong, stubborn, and will ignore pain. Give them a weapon and put them up against a mindless, ravenous Reaver and the Klingon will win every time.

My bad, Reevers were never going to be called Beserkers or vica versa in the Firefly canon. There are just many similarities to the Celtic Cult.

Unless the Klingons stand around agonizing about whether there is any honour in fighting mindless, ravenous reavers while the reavers (who are actually smart enough to fly spaceships and stuff before going into their berserk rape and pillage mode) sneak up on them.
