I almost mentioned Gor myself. Talk about an author with a kooky fetish. I felt like I was reading an instruction booklet on keeping sex slaves.

I never saw Nightman (or Space Precienct for that matter)m so I can't judge. Wasn't there a rather awful "Adventures of Sinbad" out there? But, my true choice for worst SF TV Series: "Sliders." Despite the presence of John Rhys-Davis.

Worst SF movie: Wow, there's a lot out there. Someone's mentioned "Armageddon," someone else mentioned Roland Emmerich's take on "Godzilla." I haven't seen "The Core" how bad was that? Most of the movies Scifi Channel shows look horrible. But, I guess I'll throw that other asteroid hiting the Earth movie - "Deep Impact."

Worst Sci-Fi movie: Battle beyond the stars. Messages in walnuts!? My friends & I walked out - and went into Death on the Nile, instead!

As for Matrix 3 - well, jeez, Trin, DIE ALREADY, and get on with the movie! I swear, it was the longest movie death since Spock - and not nearly so sad! And as for Neo and the seeing-without-eyes trick - Mua-dib did it first, and it therefore lost much of it's "wow" factor - for me, at least.

Yeah, but out of print. But thanks to oddball customers with kooky habits, I have a standing order at most second-hand shops for when copies show up. I've got a bunch available, all in various conditions. Wave me if you want to know more.

Is that the one with the attempt to teach a computer phenomenology at the end? That part is great, but the rest is pretty awful.

All-time worst SF movie I've tried to watch was the Aussie film (sorry, Downunder Browncoats) "The Quiet Earth" ... it's the first (and only, so far) time that I actually saw movie patrons falling asleep ... and I nearly did the same.

"Lost in Space: The Movie" was pretty awful too.

The remake of "The Invasion of the Bodysnatchers"?

"Repo Man"

As far as books are concerned, you can take amost of the sword and sorcery (except MZ Bradley's) and the Helliconia series and make a toasty bonfire.

I loved the first Matrix movie; heck, I even wrote a short little fanfic off of it (about the woman with the 'white rabbit' tattoo).

So I had high hopes for the sequels. I can't say that they were the worst sci-fi EVAH, but the Matrix Reloaded left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't like the new characters, I didn't care for Zion, and the only good things, ironically, about the sequels was the ongoing conflict between Smith and Neo. I wish that the sequels had concentrated more on that. My favorite scene in Revolutions was when Trinity and Neo flew up through the smoggy cloud layer and saw the sun for the first time; that was beautiful. The Smith and Neo battles were pretty good, too. But the films were too uneven in quality to support and so I gave up on them entirely.
