Worst Sci-Fi Ever.

I would consider a vote for Event Horizon as bad sci-fi, but it worked pretty well for me with its horror, total ick factor and weirdness.
One that I haven't seen mentioned is Wild Wild West. Most of the technical feats we were supposed to believe during it made me think, "Huh? Would that work?"
Part of Chronicles of Riddick bothered me a lot. If you haven't seen it and still want to, don't highlight.

They talk about the prison planet as being 700 degrees above during the day and 300 degrees below at night. In Celsius, -273 is absolute zero. So either the writers got the temp. wrong or we were supposed to believe that Fahrenheit is still used among a populace that commonly travels throught space. So, I spent a bit of the movie trying to figure out if the writers were stupid or stupid.

never thought I could hate a jackie chan film... these two movies proved me wrong.

TV Shows: Automan, Team Knight Rider
Movies: Godzilla (Matthew Broderick one), Highlander II (Not even that director's cut that got rid of all the aliens and sci fi parts could save that turd), and Ishtar...not sci fi, but still probably the worst piece ofcrap I ever saw. I can't even remember what it was about...I just recall they were in the desert...and they were bitter.

Sorry. I am still bitter about driving over an hour to see it in the theater in another city despite knowing in my heart that a movie like Highlander is a singular experience.
Oh yes. Matrix 1 great. Matrix 2 left me cynical, sad, and empty. I didn't even bother to see Matrix 3. No longer would I trust fave directors again. Okay I take that back. Joss Whedon may be the only director/writer I trust any more. He has hit a home run with everything he has had creative control over. He has yet to disappoint me and I have a feeling that Serenity will be a grand slam.
Any Highlander movie after the first one is a bad sci fi movie. I personally refuse to acknowledge any of them were ever created. It is easier than dealing w/ the pain.

Oh my god. YES! I thought I was the only one to know the horror of Slave Trade. I read that book last month...well not completely, I put it down with a few chapters left to go and frankly I'm satisfied to never ever know how it ends. The worst part about it though, it that it is only the first in a series, why a publishing house would inflict that on the innocent public I'll never know.

Well, stupidly, I kept reading it, thinking "it has to get better." Well, it didn't. And just in case you really wanted to know, it didn't really end, as such. I suppose she was trying for a suspenseful ending that would draw the reader to the next book, but it more or less ended ... just the same as she could've ended it any time after chapter 1.
On the bright side, it made any book from the Gor series seem like something worth reading, LOL!
