Sorry to seem dumb, but is Serenity being held at the Thistle as were no details on website or when I enquired when buying ticket?

Would be good to know which city I'm going to.

Phew, I'm safely booked for Serenity. Started phoning at 10am and secured my ticket by about 11.50.

Just a quick question. I've been to Starfury events before, but not for a few years. The ones I went to had a block booking on the hotel so you could reserve your hotel room through the event, usually at a special convention rate.

I'm wondering whether this is still the practice for more recent Starfury cons, or whether I should just book into the Thistle myself?

I expect the event web site will contain guidance on this when it goes live, but any pointers before then would be much appreciated as I suspect the hotel will book out very quickly!

Cheers,

Ade

Finally got through and booked my ticket, after an hour or so of getting through to the voicemail! Plus, my Blue Sun t-shirt arrived today from Cafepress, so everything is looking shiny!

well, I'm afraid I'm not a Brit....
but I'm flying over for the 'Serenity' con next April/May!
I got my tickets REALLY late yesterday, so I'll be in the back of the room, the end of the line, and actually it really doesn't matter because
I'LL BE AT THE FIRST EVER FIREFLY CONVENTION! YAY!
(I'm very excited)

Apparently only 147 tickets were sold yesterday. People reckon there are going to be about 800 tickets sold, so even if you're 147th you will still be pretty near the front.

I've booked tickets but will probably not be able to go as it'll be around exam time and if I get into the uni I want to get into then I'll have lectures on Friday and Saturday. I might see if I can go just for the Sunday. I'm so depressed I was hoping it was gonna be in the holidays.

Well, my sister's a ship... we had a

I just booked straight into the Thistle for the simple reason that there's only only more hotel over the road, and the others are a bit of a trek.

I would get it now, as by the time they set uo a special room rate they might be full. It is the bank holiday weekend after all, might fill up with people on breaks.

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Which weekend is it? Can't believe I booked completely blind but will be available anytime and anywhere for Serenity but would be good to know!

Cheers

How did you manage to book? I called and was told they were not currently taking bookings for that period.
