yeas I see a dark joke indeed:-)
but also in the way that the surgical releaseforms-thingy is mentioned along with you see there is not much room, here i think Matthian means that River´s parents knows the size of her head, and it is not that big, rather small a cute,(which I think, means he thinks that there should be made more room, by removing non essential parts like the Amygdala,
there is certainly not really room for a table to make homework at, either, which also seems rather strange

Is looking for a fanfic, but the only thing i remember is this a to me, funny scene(with River)
Serenity has been boarded by criminals/pirates, don´t know if they are planetbound or in the black during this boarding, at some point the serenity crew has them beat, and at this point River is for some reason, probably to scare the one of the survivers, is standing over him, and in a coldish/snobish accent(written to be of Osirian)as a gone bad highsociety debutante, asking Mal (i think), of what to do with this survivor, and it is described as if they cannot get an answer over there lips for a little while after hearing how River could have turned out if the Academy had let her be, and not ruined her life.
I have looked here and there, so i would like to hear if you could help me find it
there is a few others scenes i would like to ask about too, i am not sure if one or more of them are in the same story as the scene described above

I'm sorry, I don't think I've read that one. I have to admit, I tend to go for Mal-centric fiction (If not Mal/Inara) first. I've probably missed a lot of good Simon, Kaylee, and River fic because of that.
Do you know where you've read it? Who might have authored it? Any way to narrow it down?

see that is the case, I have no real idea of who that could have written it, But I am almost a 100% sure that it was here on bluesunroom.
there was a few other scenes, that also does not really is centered around Mal I can copy/paste pretty fast, but i am not even sure if they are a part of the same story, I barely remember i once read one where(not sure if it´s a part of the one/ones i am looking for, it´s after BDM, i think Mal is with Inara in it, where they rescue a little girl from a slaver ship, that Zoe takes care of(she was among the prisoners) shortly after a disillusioned former Alliance Special forces soldier pop up, and turns out to be the father of the little girl

this are the other two scenes(Simon/Kaylee)
scene2(S/K funny)
Simon and Kaylee has a small dissagrement, Simon might have said something bad once again, in Kaylee´s mind atleast, but this time Simon will not really admit to it, and says in a sligthly humorous way that it must have been EvilSimon(a"twin"/clone of simon, looking just like him, a part from EvilSimon is sporting a big black Mustache(Jayne is also a little into this scene too at the end)
Scene3(S/K more familly drama related i think)
Simon talking with Kaylee about his and Rivers parents, and there relationship with them: it is possible that Our mother(Reagan Tam)sent her to the school(The Academy) just to get River away, because she(River) was a slight socially embarrasement, that insteadd of being the seen but not heard, belle of the ball so to speak, instead was the brainy girl, with her nearly freaky intelligence at social events.(unknowing of course of what would happen at the Academy.
i know they might not be just like this, word by word, just to give sligth knowladge of the events that i try to describe:-)
p.s there was also in one of the first fics I read here on Bluesunroom, that i do not remember what it was called, there was this scene, where River comes into the eating area,(looking slightly embarrased/sligthly sick, it turns out it is not the medicine or the lack of the moodstabs that simon gives her, but instead the thing that all young girls must go though at some point, in this sligtly late(been told a lie by the academy that she could not have children))and Inara finds out that the guild might have broken one of there own rules by giving a special medical drug to The Academy(one to stop the female monthlies-cycle as long as the drug is taken.
