I'm sorry, but I think the worst sci-fi I've ever seen, and that's worse than all the one's y'all mentioned, was "Knight Rider 2010". I've never found a root canal more desirable than the couple of hours of my life I wasted watching this one saturday afternoon.

I guess I am one of the few that loved AI. Humanity wipes itself out and robots inherit, simply perfection.

I also loved the message that humanity cannot love a machine for itself and only for its utility. Granted most people confused the end robots for aliens which throws a wrench into understanding the film.

Never saw Vanilla Sky, didn't even know it was sci-fi.

maybe because i'm a machoist, but i watch just about every SciFi show the networks trot out and while many of the movies/series you all have mention are not that good, they are a hundred..nay a million times better then some of the things i've see:

Space Trucker - Dennis Hopper and Stephen Dorff as truckers. in space. whaha?

Space Rangers - take all the storylines and characters of a episode of the Power Rangers. then make it less good. thank you CBS for setting back the cause of SciFi as a main stream art form 10 years.

Mercy Point - ER in space.*sigh* too easy

Misfits of science - picture the A-team with super powers. ok now picture the A-team with super powers traveling around in a icecream van. throw in a young Courtney Cox who if memory serve me correctly wears a cowboy outfit at one point. with a little red hat

Wolf Lake - lets watch an episode. werewolves, ok this could be good. ooooh Lou Diamond phillips, fancy. hmm boring plot but i can live with that. watching, watching, wait a second what are those two wolves doing. are they fighting? OH MY GOD, they're doing it. i got my dog fixed so i wouldn't need to see that kind of thing. Bad CBS! no more SciFi for you!

OK, I'll bite. I'm not a Farscape "fan", per se. I've only just watched the first season and thought it was alright, but certainly not in Firefly's class. But worst sci-fi ever? I'd really like to hear your reasoning for that.

I think its because I always read it like it "tried" to be good, but always came off as more of the cheesy, (and this is just me) scifi movies/shows I hate.

I dunno, the dialogue felt... wrong, I dunno.

I think Earth Final Conflict is the worst Sci-Fi TV Show. It had potential but became really confusing, especially after it lost the lead character.

The worst Sci-Fi movie has to be Plan Nine from Outer Space. It's got the Golden Turkey Award to prove it. The star, Bella Legosi (please excuse any spelling error there), died before the movie was completed and the director simply replaced him with his wife's chiropractor.

Also there was a movie called the The Thing with Two heads. A mad scientist has his head attached to Rosie Greer's body (with out removing Rosie's). At a distance you can tell Rosie walking was around with a rubber head on his shoulder. In the close ups it looked something like a campfire skit, where one guy stands behind the other and rests his head on his shoulder.

The all time worst science fiction movie was Highlander II.

Like they said in the first movie "There can be only one."

Unfortunately they made sequels two, three, and so on.

Sorry. I am still bitter about driving over an hour to see it in the theater in another city despite knowing in my heart that a movie like Highlander is a singular experience.

Oh yes. Matrix 1 great. Matrix 2 left me cynical, sad, and empty. I didn't even bother to see Matrix 3. No longer would I trust fave directors again. Okay I take that back. Joss Whedon may be the only director/writer I trust any more. He has hit a home run with everything he has had creative control over. He has yet to disappoint me and I have a feeling that Serenity will be a grand slam.
