It hasn't been released yet - just preview screenings. I am looking forward to it, though.

I am hesitant to see it. The comic is really good, but is more serious whereas the movie seems to be almost a comedy.

Just seen it. The first third or so was a bit dull, but then, when the "Banana Splits" theme plays, it suddenly gets fun. Sick, but fun

I mean, an 11-year old kid dishing out Tarantino-esque ultraviolence with guns and knives... where'd that get to be fun... but it is...
So, Hit Girl vs. River Tam: which one would win? I'll be in my bun.., er, no make that "I'll be in the special hell...".

The trailers here in Australia make it look like a fun kids movie.. except that I read an article in the newspaper saying it was anything but a kids movie. Seems strange to market it the way they have.
I might see it but I think i'll leave the kids at home.

Unless one of your kids is a cute little purple-haired moppet called Mindy, that would be highly advisable :-)

Although it could be a good way to expand their vocabulary...

I believe that a character in the film who saw sweet little Mindy in action said that he was prepared to wait a few years...
BTW - what is there about the idea of
