And he is Jayne Cobb's Great (insert large number here) Grandfather, at least in my version of the 'Verse.

I think they established that it's his daughter when young Casey is talking on the phone to his fiance and she starts to say "I have news..." or something like that and the mentor hangs up the phone. Pretty sure she was going to say she was pregnant.
The episode didn't make a whole lot of sense. Why wouldn't Casey explain the issue right away? He could have gotten his old flame protected just as well from the start of the whole blackmail situation.
Unless he wanted to be kicked out because then he's not a target to be used by the ring. There'd be no advantage to use her to get to him anymore.
Also they said the guy who blackmailed Casey was the same guy who turned his old martial arts instructor. That guy worked for Fulcrum though not the ring. So what sense does that make?
I'm all for Chuck being a goofy show but plot holes annoy me.

I think Fulcrum was just a front for (or subunit of) the Ring. IIRC they first learnd of the Ring after interrogating a captured Fulcrum agent.

I kinda like the idea of Casy being Jaynes great great great great grandfather..

I was surprised by this episode too!
And went NOoo you can't let Casey or Sarah leave... they are a team!!!
Of course, I fully expect the team to come back together, but still grr arggh.
I keep waiting for Jayne err Casey to call one of his weapons, Binky, Boo, or Vera too.

Hopefully, Jeff and Lester will pull off another idiotic stunt that indirectly affects Team Chuck in a positive way, and results in Casey getting re-recruited.

Ok, wasn't the ending of last night's Chuck the exact same ending as last seasons (or the season for it) cliffhanger, just in reverse?
OMGZ!?!?!?! I can't believe you SHOT him!

It did seem rather familiar. Had to double check the channel info to make sure the show said (new) or not.
Also, really reminded me of something else.....

Summer Glau can simply walk into Mordor
Bones: "Don't 'rawr' her!"
Booth: "What? she'rawred' me first."

I was worried that they were planning on cutting Adam Baldwin from the show when they took his military commission but obviously they weren't because he is back on the team.
Save Chuck it's on the bubbly again
