I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm happy you found Firefly. I found Firefly myself while reeling from a divorce, trying to raise my two sons alone, trying to keep my family together. And Firefly symbolized what made the struggle worthwhile.

Yeah firefly is incredibly immersive. Just for a couple of minutes you can forget your worries.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I'm glad you found something that helps, even a little.

And let me be the first to welcome you the 'Verse and all these shiny people. I think they helped keep me sane through grad school (along with Firefly).

Joss does have that knack, no question. It's the little things, random comments that really don't seem much at the time, that tend to stick w/ me and make me laugh....

In the pilot, the " shoot them, politely " scene comes to mind.
