I didn't really like Groundhog Day...or What About Bob? I find them slightly funnier years later. Stripes was a favorite of mine when I was a teenager, though.

I'm gobsmacked when the young folk look all blank and clueless when I mention Ferris Bueller. What's the world coming to?

As for recent or upcoming movies? Don't really know much of what is out there. I still haven't seen Avatar and probably won't. I just watched Blood Diamond the other night and was like 'this should be nominated for an Oscar.' Did a little looking...it was...in 2007. :D

Aaaaaaaaaaaaw how could I forget Stripes? *owns it, don't worry XD* it seems like kids don't watch anything that predates the year 2000 any more :P they're too stuck on spongebob and hannah montana.

Dude Mel Brooks is the man!

I like Stripes more then his other movies Bill Murray did.

And don't be hatin on Spongebob!! Its the only good thing Nickelodeon has.

Plus the guy that did his voice was born here :o)

My dad and I were just mentioning how one of the funniest TV show scenes:
"WHAT DOES A YELLOW LIGHT MEAN!?"

Poor younger folks may group up never seeing it.

edit: speaking of, I'm not sure how I feel about this http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=486273>1=28101. It's NPH but its going to be live action? How does that work?

If you've saw the movie 'Zombieland' you'll probably remember they made a joke out of how totally wrong it is to not know Bill Murry and to have not seen Ghostbusters. The very few people in that category should receive government funding to go out and buy the DVD or something.

If you're into special effects, then you should see it. If not, you aren't missing anything. The story feels like it's written by a 5 year old. By that I mean it's all incredibly straight forward and predictable.

That's not very exciting. I remember a news story about a guy who inhaled a seed and started growing a tree in his lungs or something. If you could get some sunlight and fertilizer in there then maybe the tree would produce all the oxygen you need. Might be worth a shot.
