Bigger piece of crap show - SyFy's Ghost Hunters or History Channel's UFO Hunters ?

My biggest issue with the Ghost Hunters crap, and every show about ghosts in general, is the wild-ass assumptions they're willing to accept as canon and fact.
They start with the premise that ghosts DO exist, with virtually ZERO empirical evidence. Then they further compound that assumption by assuming that since ghosts exist (they've already accepted that presumption), they must put out electro-magnetic fields. And "cold spots".
So when they go "ghost hunting", they go in with EMF detectors, thermal imaging cameras, remote temperature reading equipment, and the like. Because, you know, since ghosts DO exist, they obviously would put out electro-magnetic fields, speak in electrical pulses that could only be heard with electronic recording equipment, produce temperature variations, etc.
Before they ever show up to "investigate", they've accepted that these are the things that will confirm the presence of a "ghost".
And they base that on nothing scientific at all, except their own wild-ass assumptions and hypotheses, none of which has ever been substantiated in any way.
I could make a more valid case that water causes hangovers.
Test # 1: I drank vodka and water all night long, and woke up with a hangover the next day.
Test # 2: I drank scotch and water all night long, and woke up with a hangover the next day.
Test # 3: I drank whisky and water all night long, and woke up with a hangover the next day.
Ergo, water causes hangovers.

I should have thought to mention this in my previous post. As bad as these shows are, for absolute suckiness they can't hold a candle to Scare Tactics.

The problem with Ghost Hunters, Scare Tactics, Ghost Hunters International, and UFO hunters is that if people keep watching these terrible shows then syfy will keep making them and putting on the air..

Bingo. Plus, remember that they are never going to actually TELL YOU ANYTHING. Like all the Bigfoot, Nostradamus, Loch Ness Monster, UFO, Area 51, and Kennedy Assassination shows, they're going to rehash what you already know, and not tell you anything new that you DIDN'T know, and offer nothing in the way of new information.
So why waste the time on them?
