Bigger piece of crap show - SyFy's Ghost Hunters or History Channel's UFO Hunters ?

The fact that they both have 'hunters' in their title must some how indicate their extreme suckiness.

Watching these shows is painful. Seriously, water board me before you force me to watch either of these 2 night mares.

They over hyped music, the horrific camera work.... it'd be one thing if they actually sent out teams of investigators to do any semblance of real work , but hell..... they instead trot out these absolute clowns, none of which has a shred of credibility OR on camera talent for - ANYTHING.

What set me off w/ this mini rant was watching UFO Hunters. There isn't 10 seconds where they hold the camera still, keep from doing a quick shift of the frame, or don't do a quick zoom in, so as to heighten the sense of drama. Even when ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS GOING ON! It's so damn ridiculous! I swear, Even the folks they interview can't take them seriously. I saw not 1 but 2 different people either stare in disbelief or start to smirk at these poor carnival barker rejects. The cuts were so quick and/ or edited so abruptly, it's hard to follow them having any normal conversation for any length of time. And for good reason! This show has 5 minutes of footage that they some have to slice, edit and draw out for a 30 minute show. A high school film class could produce better on one afternoon's work. I say this not as any film student myself, far from it. But it just SOOO bad, it was distracting me from what ever the NON story they were trying to hype up.

Lol, I'm gonna have to go with UFO Hunters on this one :P Ghost Hunters is *occasionally* (big emphasis on the occasionally) entertaining IMO, every once in a blue moon when they're going over the actual history of a place (provided it's a historical site, I know they've done a few), but UFO Hunters just makes me cry.

Don't hate TV, TV brought us Firefly ^_^

Can't say for sure since I've never watched UFO Hunters and never more than a couple of minutes of any episode of Ghost Hunters, and then only when I happened to land on it while channel surfing.

Haven't seen UFO Hunters, but Ghost Hunters can be interesting at times. Mainly because they've gotten to explore some pretty cool places. I still am amazed they're on their 5th season, though...

The Southpark clip is pretty spot on, actually. And funny.

As for UFO Hunter, the show I watched was about an alleged 'crash' site in Texas. Sketchy reports from 1897 of a metallic , cigar shaped craft falling from the sky and hitting a wind mill. Supposedly, some of the metal pieces from the craft ended up in a water well, which was situated right near the wind mill. So... get the picture.

A alien craft travels billions of miles, across the cosmos, to our little rock of a planet, enters the atmo, crashes into a wind mill, and " pieces " of it fall into a open well. ( I missed the part of what happened to the REST OF THE DAMN SHIP! ). But those 'fragments' were all that remained of this encounter. Only that now, those fragments of metal were NO LONGER TO BE FOUND! What happened ? The family that moved onto the land had the well cleaned out and threw the metal away. But that's PROOF that metal had once actually BEEN at the bottom of the well!!!!!!

Conclusion ? We are not alone. Aliens "might" have crashed in Texas, 110 years ago. And took out a wind mill too. Bastards!

Can't say I've seen either because I always believe that these things are faked, especially after seeing clips of a show we have in the UK called Most Haunted.
A quick search on YouTube and there's are plenty of clips showing them faking things.
There's been Yvette Fielding kicking a door when she hasn't realised the night vision camera was on her. Derek Acorrah talking about spirits whose stories were made up before the show. Coins being thrown across the room by crew members.

I mean, is it any wonder that so many people disbelieve this stuff? All the modern technology we have, all the hi-def cameras etc etc and we still get blurry photos, out of focus/shaky video, muffled audio that could be anything and fakers like the above playing on what people want to see.

These shows fit right in with the lowest of the 'reality' shows.
