Watching the Pilot this morning I caught the Reaver scene where they float past Serenity... I couldn't help but wonder what we would have seen of the Reavers had the show lasted longer.
"What was your vision for the Reavers? Would you have them speaking? Did you have someone in mind to cast as a leader if it came to that?"
I have 1, 2, maybe 3 thousand more to ask.

I want to know the whole backstory on Shepherd Book. I trust I'm not alone in that...

If I could ask Joss a question about Firefly it would be:
"Hey Joss why not re-pitch the show of FIREFLY, and just start all over again?" (It'd be like these constant Batman re-imaginings.)
Plus...

Nope you aint alone. I always found his past more interesting than River's past. I had hopes of a SERENITY sequel (Were it to have happened ) being about Books past catching up with him and affecting the whole crew as a consequence. Mal and he would have been at real odds with each other - Oh well... Not to be I guess.

Not alone. I was looking for news on the Book comic
and saw a quote from Joss about Book's character being more of a Christian than a Buddhist, which is what Ron Glass wanted. "Whedon conceived the character because he felt that faith was important to people dealing with being that far out in space. As Whedon states, "Shepherd Book is somebody I would probably get along famously with, except we don't agree about anything." He also wanted to give "a voice for the other side."
I think that's a little funny since for them they are not "that far out in space," but I get his meaning. His other comments are funny.
There's always room for a backstory ep or three...
