Finally finished Angel - What's next?

So, at long (long) last I have finally finished Angel. And of course, it's left me wanting more. I've been following the Buffy Season 8 comics since I finished watching Season 7, but is there an Angel version as well. I know *of* the 'After the Fall' series - is that what I should be looking into now? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah I think the "After the Fall" series is the officially Joss sanctioned continuation in comic form. It's not highly recommended on my list really. I've only gotten a short ways into it but it's pretty far out there for me. I can't imagine they'd go this route they take it down if it was actually on the air. That's the one to go for I guess.

The series is written by Brian Lynch (Spike: Asylum) and is plotted by both Lynch and Joss Whedon.[51][52]
Following their success with a series of Buffy novels, Pocket Books purchased the license to produce novels for Angel. Twenty-four Angel novels were published. Jeff Mariotte became the most successful Angel novelist, publishing eleven Angel novels. They also published seven Buffy/Angel crossover books that featured settings and characters from both series.

Thanks for the info! I suppose I'll give After the Fall a look-see.
As for the finale, I really enjoyed it. Part of me will always wish that Fred could have been back for it, but what happened between Illyria and Wesley was pretty interesting anyway.
I guess all in all I was as satisfied as I could be with a finale for a show that could (should) have continued.

I'm always curious to see what reactions are once people have watched the whole series. For myself, I thought it was one of the great series finales in TV history. I loved every second of it. And I love that you get to have your own interpretation of the ending. How's that battle turn out? You have to decide for yourself! :)

One aspect of it that I REALLY enjoyed was how they didn't have the final battle all together. They each had their own individual assignments, so to watch how each person's mission turned out was a really cool way of progressing through the episode.

I loved the finale, and season 5 was by far my favorite of the whole series. Of Buffy and Angel combined, really.

Y'know, Buffy's finale is high on my list of best finales ever, too. And it's completely different. I just love that last shot, the wisp of a smile on Buffy's face, the realization that she finally gets to be a REAL girl for once, all the Slayer duties are behind her, etc.
