Getting The Matrix as a rip-off instead of a proper Invisibles movie was kind of crushing for me, for those of you who read comics. Since Warner Bros. released the Matrix and own DC Comics there wasn't much to be done about it, and any attempts at doing a proper version of Grant Morrison's epic would just seem like a Matrix rip-off to most of the viewing public, I would imagine.

I could imagine the tagline: From the epic work that inspired The Matrix and The X-Files, Grant Morrison's paranoid cult classic: The Invisibles.

Perhaps a BBC/HBO style miniseries would work better anyway.

i'm sure there have been MANY, but the only one that comes immediately to mind, is Kevin Smith's Remake, or new sequel of "Fletch", to be titled "Fletch won", and to have starred Jason Lee. Smith was working on the script after Dogma, and it got put on hold for "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", and never really gotten back to....

@JOSSISAGOD: Not sure how I feel about CGI Thundercats, but if there was going to be a live action version I'd only want Guillermo del Toro to do it.

No movie I know of, but SyFy is currently in production on a new series pilot based on the books - and completely unrelated to their prior version. I believe it stars Tahmoh Pinikett of BSG and Dollhouse.
