His death came rather abruptly, and it took me by surprise. Sorry to see any hard-working Congressman die.

I see some old feuds have flared back up on some of the threads. That's really too bad.

Niki, a big part of my beef with 'Rappy *IS* personal, ever since he felt the need to make a crack about fucking my mother after I posted that she'd died.

Yes, he is just that classy.

And I warned him way back then that I have a very long memory, and it's something for which he's never felt any need to apologize, so fuck him. I *WON'T* be civil where he's concerned.

As for Jack Murtha, he had already been in and out of the Marines for more than 10 years when Vietnam blew up into a real war. He'd been a decorated drill instructor, retired, and then when he was in his thirties he volunteered again, and served in the 'Nam, where he won a chestful of medals, including a couple Bronze Stars and Purple Hearts.

He was involved in the ABSCAM FBI sting, but nothing ever came of it. He was on videotape turning down a $50,000 bribe, telling them he wouldn't be interested, which was taken by some to be an indicator that he must be corrupt, since he didn't take the bribe.

He was "hawkish" on defense, but he earned the wrath of the neo-cons when he became one of the first Congresspersons to demand the withdrawal of troops from Iraq. That's the point at which Rappy and his ilk decided we'd be better off if Murtha were murdered, which he then called for.

A fair and reasonable sentiment.

I came to express sympathy for the passing of a fellow human being.

Others tried to turn this thread into their own personal vendetta.

Again, condolences to the Murtha family.

Point of this thread is to mock the dottering old fool that is Jack Murtha and to bluntly suggest that he be treated like an old senile dog, and be put down.

Colonel Murtha was antiwar (sometimes). He was murdered by his doctors.

Quote:

Murtha was admitted to the hospital after suffering from abdominal pains in December 2009.[7] Murtha had surgery to remove his gallbladder in late January 2010; a week later, he was admitted to the intensive care unit due to complications from the surgery.[8] He died on February 8, 2010.[9]

Murtha was first hospitalized with gallbladder problems for a few days in December 2009, and had surgery January 28 at Bethesda Naval Hospital, where "doctors inadvertently cut Mr. Murtha's intestine during the laparoscopic surgery, causing an infection."[65] Due to the complication, he was again hospitalized two days later, and died on the afternoon of February 8, 2010, in the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia with his family by his side.[66]

This is exactly how my father-in-law was murdered by doctors last month. Doctors murder 2-million US citizens every year.

Quote:

"The most stunning statistic, however, is that the total number of deaths caused by conventional medicine is an astounding 783,936 per year. It is now evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the US. Using Leape's 1997 medical and drug error rate would add another 216,000 deaths, for a total of 999,936 deaths annually. Our estimated 10-year total of 7.8 million iatrogenic* deaths is more than all the casualties from all the wars fought by the US throughout its entire history. Our considerably higher figure is equivalent to six jumbo jets are falling out of the sky each day."

Assassination is always a probability for public servants who get uppity to the NWO masters. Marine Corps drill instructors with combat experience have no immunity to fragging.

Ask antiwar soldier Pat Tillman. Oh you can't, he got triple-tapped in the head at point-blank range by his own troops. Million$ in salary mean nothing to the trillionaire banksters of the NWO.

The Haditha incident occurred on November 19, 2005, and since then there have been differing accounts of exactly what took place.

In November 2005 Murtha announced that a military investigation into the Haditha killings concluded U.S. Marines had intentionally killed innocent civilians.[35] Referring to the first report about Haditha[36] that appeared in Time magazine, Murtha said:[37]

"It's much worse than reported in Time magazine. There was no fire fight. There was no IED that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood. And that's what the report is going to tell."

The Marine Corps responded to Murtha's announcement by stating that "there is an ongoing investigation; therefore, any comment at this time would be inappropriate and could undermine the investigatory and possible legal process."[38] Murtha was criticized by conservatives for presenting a version of events as simple fact before an official investigation had been concluded.[39]

In August 2006, Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich filed a lawsuit against Murtha for character defamation during an ongoing investigation into the Haditha incident. In April 2009 this suit was dismissed by a federal appeals court, which ruled that Murtha could not be sued because he was acting in his official role as a

Ignoring PN, as usual, Raptor, "some" didn't turn it into what you said, just Mike. And putting up a separate thread because of his niggling you is pathetic.

Mike, I don't care what personal feuds you have, I'm justs saying they're unproductive and ridiculous to bring into a thread about something else just to satisfy your wish for vengeance. Won't stop you, I know, but I've noticed it before and my opinion is it's childish, unless the person involved posts something in that thread which deserves snarking.

Here's how noted right-wing paid mouthpiece showed HER respects to Jack Murtha:

Quote:

We are not supposed to speak ill of the dead. But those whom the deceased viciously smeared and humiliated deserve to be defended. Entrenched Democratic Rep. John Murtha passed away on Feb. 8 after a botched gallbladder surgery.
He has been hailed as a "military advocate" (Associated Press) and "one of the greatest patriots ever to serve in Congress" (former Democratic Rep. Harold Ford Jr.). These obsequious obituaries leave out inconvenient truths:

John "Jack" Murtha was an unrepentant smear merchant and corruptocrat to the bitter end.

No condemnation required.

I strongly suggest all to read the linked story, and draw your own conclusions.

Just because the US military cleared themselves of any wrongdoing in Haditha doesn't mean it didn't happen...

Apparently the reason they didn't go ahead with charges was the lack of Iraqis willing to come forward to American investigators... maybe an Iraqi investigation would bear a different result...

Not something I would condemn Murtha over, unless it was the lack of pushing for a non US military investigation.

But if it DIDN'T clear them, they'd be really REALLY guilty, right?

Oh yeah. Kinda like a black man on trial for murder, in Mississippi, circa 1950? Sure, that'd be completely above board and on the level.
