To carry on from the other thread about trying not to laugh in certain situations, I was at drill today, and we were doing our usual morning roll call (more of a meeting than attendance, but accountability is taken at the same time). During the meeting someone's phone started ringing (there's a 'rule' about that, btw) with this really interesting musical ring tone, and it was LOUD. Everyone started looking around to see where it came from but the culprit just played it cool and let it ring instead of scrambling for the phone.
After about 15 seconds, there were smiles and brief little chucklesnorts going around the room (all the while our squadron commander kept talking).
After 30 seconds, we were trying to hold in the laughs.
Finally the call rolled over to voicemail and it stopped ringing, but just when we were about to turn our attention back to what was being said, the message alert on his phone *pinged* and everyone in the room burst out laughing.
Poor John. When the second alert went off he finally said "That's it" and scrambled for the phone.
One of those situational incidents where you have to be there to it's funny, but it reminded me of the previous thread. ^_^

I started today. I found a recipe that has you marinate the chicken before it turns into wings.
Raw chicken WITH skin is really gross! We usually use skinless chicken. So after getting over that I was cutting off the tips and seperating the drum stick from the wing, and the first few didn't look pretty. Apparently if you cut the bone in the wrong place the chicken starts BLEEDING!
After about 3 or 4 I got the right place to cut it and they look like normal wings now. Hopefully they'll be yummy tomorrow.

They are pretty damn good if I do say so myself. The perfect amount of spiciness to make your lips tingle, but not so hot you cant taste them.

I found this out earlier too. Not the part about bleedy bones thankfully. That sounds pretty bad.
My mom was really sick, so it was down to me for dinner. I thought we were doomed, but I managed to rustle up roast chicken and potatoes and gravy. It was pretty good if I do say so too.
