Umm, you do realize I've addressed this issue a couple times, and even posted hard evidence that the shells in question were american made, right ?

This is a US M825A1 Shell produced at Pine Bluff in 1991, by the lot number, and it's far from the only one recovered.

Gino, of course I know our government is aware of it, that's my point, that until now (and who knows how much longer), they've ignored and/or been complicit IN IT.
And "yes" to all but #3 & 4...I believe things should be as equal as the two parties deserve, not cut off completely...where people are talking, there's hope.
And yes, Mike, stop letting our politicians who have power accept any of those bribes...uh, DONATIONS...

I like your ideas, I just question if they'd work. I'd say rather do everything but #3 and 4, give 'em a bit of time, then do those IF nothing starts happening. Pulling away completely might not be as effective as having lines of communication open and a presence there--a DIPLOMATIC presence, nothing more.

I guess, Gino, I'd like to see everything else tried first. I guess that would mean that the US would have to change its beliefs, and that any Israeli influence would have to be changed in the first place, which assumes we could get past what you listed.
IF we could (which would mean the influence you cited would have been erradicated or at least moderated in the first place), then I wouldn't want to cut diplomatic ties as drastically as you suggested, because communication IS the solution to all problems, in my opinion, and what you suggested would cut it off.
I suppose I'm hoping that if we stopped supporting them monetarily and militarily, their attitude might change enough that diplomacy would have at least a chance of being more effective. Does that explain why I wouldn't do #3 or 4 RIGHT AWAY? Certainly if nothing changed despite our lack of backing, I'd agree to the other two, I just wouldn't do them immediately. Maybe I'm just a cockeyed optimist...
