Along with UFO, 1999 was more of a curate's egg, I'd say: good in parts.

Great special effects, great sets, great ships* generally high production values until you hit the science... Oh my sweet fluffy lord, most SF has dodgy science but Space 1999 really strained the ol' suspension of disbelief.

Mind you - it scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid.

(* yes, I owned a Dinky Toys' UFO Interceptor. And a SHADO Mobile. No, I actually played with them and didn't keep the boxes so they're all knacked up and not worth money).

I'm suprised no one mentioned Starhunter.

I mean, there were a couple episodes I liked, regardless of the similarities to our beloved Firefly.

EDIT: Oh. Wait. I guess it had to be loved to qualify. Nevermind.

Seriously, how can you put shows that inspired that sort of thing on a "worst" list? Just hope that Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein don't spin so violently in their graves that the Earth is thrown out of its orbit...
